Patent Monetization Strategies
$175
About the Course:
This webinar is suitable for every patentee that seeks to monetize its patents. The pros and cons of engaging with patent brokers is discussed. The required documentation, fees, processes, timelines and results that should be anticipated when working with a patent broker are thoroughly explained.
If you don’t know the answers to questions such as these, you really should listen to this webinar:
- Why is there less risk of an alleged infringer triggering a declaratory judgment when approached by a patent broker rather than a patentee?
- What documentation should patentees prepare when approaching patent brokers?
- How are fee arrangements typically structured with patent brokers?
- Why might suspected infringers take assertion efforts presented by patent brokers more seriously than assertion efforts put forward by patentees?
- What are the benefits of placing patents to be asserted in newly-formed entities? What legal forms should these entities take?
- What should patent brokers do to reduce the risk of invalidity attempts?
- How can a patent broker remove a litigation firm that isn’t producing results?
- How can litigation financing firms help monetize patents?
- What should be considered when determining the sequencing for approaching suspected infringers?
- What should never be included in “an offer to take a license” letter sent to suspected infringers?
